With incoming 64-core TR that would be 4GB/core or 2GB/thread, which is way too little for a CPU that would cost ~$5k. TRX40 boards also for some reason have fewer PCIe slots (4) than x399 (6) or x299 (7) boards. I can't call them "Pro" because of that - fewer GPUs for Deep Learning is not a good idea in a workstation-level tech.

To be honest, it sounds like your particular needs are best served by an Epyc.

TR has usually higher CPU frequency and more agile BIOS, for less $.
