Idea: Let the entertainment industry blow through as much carbon as they want in creating content. BUT - require that their audiences be butt-in-chair-on-the-ground immobile while consuming that content, with no carbon footprint beyond breathing, electricity for the TV and lights, HVAC, and maybe a fizzy drink.
Considering audience sizes compared to production crews, and all the far more carbon-intensive things those immobilized audiences could be doing instead - that deal sounds like a huge net win to me.
