Why is this important? It means future voting doesn't matter at all as the government has been disabled. What remains will be something like Russia, were the public state is mostly a performance act. Kleptocracy instead of society. "Rules for thee, but not for me".

- [1] «This is why there's an effort to centralize power in the executive at a blistering pace, so the opposition can be permanently defeated even without Trump.

Watch for three things: ignoring the courts, snuffing out the influence of non-party sources of authority (the press, academic institutions), and centralization of police power. I don't think they're going to wait past April before they do all three.»

- [2] «MAGA is working full steam to make sure it doesn't matter who you are going to vote. Trump is just the smoke screen. IF, by a rare circumstance, the media moguls decide to not sane-wash the incredible fire-hose of lies, corruption, fake news, and religious extremism, and the DEMs get into office in some next term, those DEMs will find the state destroyed beyond repair.

You can enter the cockpit, but MAGA makes sure you are never going to fly again. If you want to get somewhere, you will need the fixers. »

No one should be surprised by any of this. It was all written down and published by the Heritage Foundation in 2023.

Even without it, we could see what a second term would look like from the middle of his first.

The US is treading a very dangerous path right now. I wonder how long it'll take for Congress to act and, by the time it happens, if it'll be sufficient.

I am an EU citizen, 68 years old, long-time admirer of the USA and SpaceX but what happens now in the USA horrifies me, as it reminds me of the path that took another great nation in Europe nearly one century ago.

The Congress will not act before people are on the streets.

And people won't be on the streets until Constitutional crisis and severe economic impact have fully developed.
