Disney has already proved it cant compete against tech companies by loosing the streaming wars to Netflix. And then there is Amazon, Apple, Youtube, tiktok. Competing against all of them in AI and AR is never going to work.
They are the best content creators in the world and focusing on the highest quality story telling is what Bob Igers current strategy is. Everyone else is on a race to the bottom content quality wise, since content production has masively exceeded eyeballs available thanks to mindless long term vision lacking market capture games. And AI is going to just increase the over production of content. Quality will always win in an ever growing ocean of sewage that tech enables.
