VC money made it just a matter of time. And TBH businesses needing to make money is understandable.

What I'm less generous about ...

- The spin. They're somewhat honest later on about the reasons (cost, though they don't really mention revenue streams). However they spend a fair amount of time explaining how it's exciting news and benefits their apparently easily-confused customer base. Heroic. Thanks.

- A September 15th cut-off (assuming you are running a client that is networked and knows to die) so only 2 months to either start paying or find, pay, and migrate away to an alternative.

Of course if this lets them streamline the product so it doesn't vampirically drain a laptop's resources just to send some API calls, then maybe there's a positive.


My company rightfully has a bunch of controls to prevent data leakage through things like company API keys being stored on postman servers. They are effectively removing themselves from this company's workflow.


What are others using? Insomnia? Postwoman?

It's been a while since I've tried out tools in this area. Any I should give a look?
