I'll always remember when Leo Laporte and Kevin Rose were racing to see who would be the first person to 1M Twitter followers. Only for Britney Spears to join Twitter and demolish the follower counts.
I was interested in this story, and tried to find out more. I'm guessing it was a race to 100,000, but it's bizarre to think there was a time when both Laporte and Rose had more twitter followers than Obama.
