Not sure why this got submitted, but I'm glad it did as it's one of my favorite movies. Such a thought provoking dialogue. And it introduced me to First Gymnopédie by Erik Satie, a beautiful piece of music.
I heard about it for the first time yesterday after a meme on reddit beautifully integrated Kanye West with Wallace's questions called "My Dinner with Kanye."
I watched the movie and was absolutely entranced. I wasn't sure how widely known the movie is, so wanted to share it. The notion of being against the technology of electric blankets reminds me a lot of the ludditism me and several techies I know embrace, despite working in technology.
I don't know if you've seen it, but there's a movie with a similar concept titled Sunset Limited, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson. I found it captivating as well.
Andre: I wouldn't put on an electric blanket on for anything. First, I'd be worried I might get electrocuted. No, I don't trust technology. But I mean, the main thing, Wally, is that I think that kind of comfort just separates you from reality in a very direct way.
