Consciousness is the only thing we understand. We don't understand everything else.

By the same token, transhumanists’ claim that we will one day gain immortality by uploading our brains to supercomputers will probably always be science fiction."


That's assuming consciousness doesn't fill in its entire contenant, or at the opposite spectrum, that it's contained rather than everywhere but more or less concentrated.
