As a gen-Z denizen, I found it interesting to hear criticisms of the web from an older person's perspective:

* social media as swinging back to the decentralization of Usenets

* the never-resolved tension between a social network's barrier to entry and content quality

* API and Standards obfuscation by centralized web giants

* talent capture by giant companies

Also, I never knew such a thing as Multics existed. Unix is all I ever knew.
