Meh, it's more than tradition. It also brings stability and help with diplomatic relations.

De facto, the country is not a monarchy but rather a democracy.


Why do you mean traditions are not important?


Do they really have any power though? At this point they're there because they've always been there, but why is that bad on its own?

It does give the people a sense of history and dignity about their longevity.
