I got my hands on one of these in strange (though perfectly legal – really!) in the mid 80s. It really opened my eyes to what computers would be in the future. Took it with me everywhere, and used it to take notes and write drafts of essays at university. My typing drove the others in my classes nuts :-)
This was my first portable computer, and it was a lot of fun. I got it when Radio Shack was just starting to drop the price to close it out at their retail stores.
