That's actually crazy. It sounds like they're just fundamentally not paying teachers well enough to make the job worth doing...

It's actually crazy because kids are literally our future and educating them seems like such a low priority, but I imagine most of the people who implement these policies have the means to send their kids to private schools, but I fear what the average person will be like in a few generations of severely underfunded education
