Not everything needs to be connected to the internet. They own right of ways for a pipeline. Go bury some fiber along the pipe. All critical company communications can now be handled internally.

This is a good idea. Is it possible to require all critical infrastructure to be disconnected from the WAN?


It isn’t if you want remote monitoring, probably. So doing that could raise labor costs.
