Is it possible to make a single lens microscope with modern methods that's capable of resolving at the cellular level? I've never heard of such a thing, and my optics is spotty but I wouldn't think a spherical lens would get you there. The discussion of aperture sizes in the paper is over my head, do they contribute to the resolving power?
