They missed two important algorithms in SR

- Fast Function eXtraction (FFX)

- Prioritized Grammar Enumeration (PGE)

Both have advantages over GP based SR like Eureka, and this algo seems to have taken ideas from both without being aware or citing either. I'd expect a better survey of the existing literature in a paper coming from MIT. Maybe they saw Eureka article in Nature and slung together some clickbait? (I'm a little salty w.r.t. the SR field for their exceptionally poor research quality and methods)
