I got tired of the inkjet experience and bought a Brother color laser printer with full duplex printing and scanning and support for AirPrint and uploading scanned docs to the cloud for less than $500 at Staples five or six years ago. I've replaced the toner once, maybe twice. Updated the firmware once. You can toss a bunch of documents in the document feeder, tap a button, and they are scanned and uploaded where you configure. Highly recommended.
