I'm using a Moto X4, so it is a few years old, but the official Reddit app runs terribly on my phone. Reddit Is Fun (RIF) is my preferred app since it doesn't try anything fancy and my phone handles it great.

To be fair, Reddit's mobile app looks very good and modern, but for a news feed, I'll take outdated design and speed over the opposite.
