Just to nitpick for a second, you shouldn't feel compelled to believe something because "it's Einstein's point." Francis Bacon established the foundation of the scientific method when he argued that knowledge means the ability to predict or create some effect reliably. Now you probably do not have the ability to test special relativity experimentally, but you can read about the many successful predictions and applications derived from it. You shouldn't feel like you just "have to believe it," though.
