Now if only Aspirin wasn’t so damn expensive in Germany (and other European nations): http://andrewhammel.typepad.com/german_joys/2007/09/prescrip...

In France, a box of 20x1g pills is around 3 euros, so you can get 1g per day at 4.5€ per month (~0,15€ per day).

I find this rather cheap personally.

Most will be able to pay it but it is still obscenely expensive compared to what you pay elsewhere for completely stupid reasons.

I understand your point about the difference between places etc.

But locally, calling 4.5€ per month "obscenely expensive" is really far-stretched. One baguette cost 1€ here (~ 30€ per month).

Really? Acetylsalicylic acid is available as a cheap generic drug in Germany.

You won’t get 100 tablets for one Euro. Five Euro or so is maybe doable, you still have to buy them in a pharmacy.

100 tablets, 50p.

(Ok, there's shipping too, but if you're buying a bunch of stuff it's not that bad.)

So, that's about 5 cent per day then.

In America, it looks like low-dose 81mg is around 1 to 2 cents per dose. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dhp...

Who says our healthcare is more expensive?
