I have a couple of external HDDs with a ton of raw audio data on them (I used to produce music full time). It occurred to me the other day that if these drives die I have no backups. I would like to archive these into a cloud storage service so I can rest easy. What's the best way?
I had to come up with a solution to back up my Lightroom catalogs and raw archive hard drives. I dump an image of each and upload it to s3 and gdrive. Pretty manual, but I do it once per year or so.
I choose to dump an image against i.e tar.bz because I can rely on the fs checksum in case of data degradation.
