It probably does, but most infrastructure software in both RHEL/Fedora and Ubuntu has been created in Python for nearly a decade now.



Gentoo as well, but this is not the case for Solaris to name at least one example.


Or AIX or HPUX. Solaris isn't quite so unpopular yet, but there's more vintage support Solaris 8 out there than there is 10, and there's almost no OpenSolaris to speak of.
