Finland is probably an extreme outlier, based on my own readings in any case. I've never worked in Finland, only in the United States. My anecdotal data is that _most_ U.S. management really sucks.
I've heard it said that, compared to some European management styles, the US management style is analogous to starting a bunch of fires and frantically ordering people to urinate on them.
