It truly amazes me, though I can confirm witnessing them (old and new users to the internet mostly), that there actual people who click on "One Weird Tip to Lose Ten Pounds"...
But even they eventually learn like the rest of us to be wary of them from what I have learnt.
My conjecture is that ultimately when new internet user growth rate slows enough, ads will no longer be a viable and naturally die out! I don't know, I do see a few relevant ad sometimes these days. I found the shoes I am wearing from an ad, and they are neither good nor bad, but the ad did serve its purpose of notifying me that a product of my liking was available.
