Have other frameworks had the concept of ["interactive islands"]?
I'd love to know more, but the docs aren't fleshed out yet. Does anyone know of other (documented) frameworks that use this concept?
I think that's actually part of a general journalism style guide. It definitely sounds strange, but so does the constant third person passive voice you tend to see in journal articles.
In theory, yes. However the comment counts aren't part of the item's JSON, which only includes top-level comments. So I'd need to retrieve all the top-level comments, and then all of the children comments for every comment. Doable, yes, but I'd need to take a while to think about how to do it efficiently.
In order to get a more comprehensive vocabulary/grammar, you need to substitute out the sample that it comes with. There are instructions in the README. For the demo, it just uses the sample grammar that voxforge provides, which is (as you can see) fairly limited.
