Yeah made me wonder. But then again warfare is 24/7 while intimacy once every now and then.

Try looking at the video frame by frame. The kayak disappears from one frame to the next while the whale remains mostly stationary.

Isn't that just the kayak going underwater because the jaw of the whale pushes it downwards?

I just did after reading this comment - that's not what I saw.

As a Finn: Then we import it from Sweden and export it to Estonia

Yeah I started seriously considering piracy once again a few months ago. Partly because I've started worrying that we will see some major failure in AWS/Azure/GCP at some point in the near future leading to cascading failures, taking a long time to recover from. So, sudden failure of service is one thing. Another is that it is sometimes hard to find a show or movie you are looking for in any of the streaming services I subscribe to. Third, I want more freedom, piracy gives some back.

How lovely! I thoroughly enjoyed this

I tried creating a LinkedIn profile some time ago. After having updated everything in the profile, it was restricted. To activate it again I have to verify my ID by sending pictures of my passport or something. I wonder which wire I tripped to get banned like that

I had my baby sleep in the cardboard box even though we had a suitable bed at home already. It's so cozy and the baby slept really good in it.

This all sounds like confabulation. This is pure costly signaling with reasons invented afterwards.

Try this exercise: Write down what will happen if you were to die right now. For me, this answers most questions about what I should do.

Pretty much nothing will happen, unless you have dependents. Whatever will happen might have mattered for you, but you're dead.

Quite a lot of people have died already with not a lot of consequence.

I agree that on the whole, nothing matters. But in a felt sense, my life matters more when I have other people to care for and interact with or some goal that needs to be reached. Reflecting on my inevitable end gives a sense of urgency and an appreciation of the people around me.

Life insurance pays out. This doesn't answer much for me.
