Did you do any analysis on how highly income levels correlate with percent of remote workers? Or was it more of an observation based on the top few and bottom few cities?

An observation mostly! We definitely plan to add more graphs and charts comparing those two factors directly in the future!!

Stay tuned :)

A complaint I've heard from my remote coworkers is: "Yeah, I like to have lunch with ya'll when I'm there. But when you're remote, like, the whole day is just sitting staring at a computer. The last thing I'm interested in is having my lunch/eating time be more of that". Have you considered doing something along the lines of real walks "together", using headphones?

I haven't - but that's a good idea! Might have to do another post...

Do you have plans to implement any of the other engagement features you mentioned? I’d be curious to see what worked best.

Yes! In the article, we mentioned that we were considering collectible avatars to include into the game.

Some out-of-the-box ideas include extending our Spotify integration to audio channels so people can collaboratively play music together.

Do you run into any problems having a fully untyped data schema represented in one big JSON blob?

It's a bit inconvenient sometimes, but it can be done well. https://firebase.google.com/docs/database/web/structure-data

But that's the point, it isn't your real life face, only the avatar you chose, so you don't have to show your face if you don't want to.

Very cool! I love the idea of reactive avatars. In general, I find it annoying to have to upload a profile photo, so being able to select an avatar, and then have it be responsive, is great.

Thanks!!!
