dpkg might not show it. Struts can be bundled in any java application and you'd never know.

How are you generating the raw data? Can you share your scripts that are used to generate it?

I'd be very interested in generating raw data against the disks I maintain as well, might also be able to share it, which might be interesting since its primarily SSDs.

Multiprocess support works in general pretty well but isn't perfect.

Daemontools-encore still has issues with KILL signals, with HTTPD and MPMs a KILL signal will kill the master but workers often go to init and never stop.

What HTTPD are you running? If you're running one that does its own child process management (like nginx or apache), you should explicitly disable process group isolation via a ./no-setsid file.

Which those 77 sales are really pirate copies as Ubuntu Software Centre sold SMB without permission and hasn't paid the SMB any either. I'd stay away from them if they're willing to pull this type of shenanigans.

Regarding the Super Meat Boy issue, here is a response from David Pitkin who runs the Ubuntu Software Center at Canonical and works with developers:

"I just looked into it and the check to Tommy and Edmund from Canonical is in process for the 77 copies of Super Meat Boy. We have been working together since November to get it resolved, no piracy here just some miscommunication".

Does DHH post regularly? His "Archive" shows 3 posts in the last 4 days, you'd think he'd have more history posting.

He used to have a blog called "Loud Thinking": http://david.heinemeierhansson.com/posts/archives

Probably related to Rails 4. Once it's gold, I'm sure he'll have less to say.
