Awesome! Thank you very much :)

Usenet, a platform once esteemed for its contributions to online discourse, is now inundated with illegal content and child exploitation imagery. This cannot go unchecked.

There is a petition urging Usenet providers to take decisive action by implementing stringent content moderation measures or, if necessary, removing the alt.binaries.* discussion groups entirely.

Your support is crucial. Please take a moment to sign and share this petition.

Get over it, Microsoft and migrate to a Unix kernel ;)

I agree. I have a daughter attending primary school in Oslo(barneskole); they use iPad for almost everything because some years ago Norwegian government decided that using a tablet is important for they digital skills. As result, we have to spend half hour after dinner everyday to help her practicing reading and writing because they spend so much time in front of a screen. I don't argue that using digital tools can be helpful but replacing almost all handwriting with digital devices, in my opinion, is harmful for children development.

I couldn't agree more with this list. While I was at university,I used to imagine software engineering job like a place where like minded people talked all the time about algorithms, new technologies etc. A place where senior engineers would guide/mentor you, where you could take time to create the best code/solutions... :D For me, discovering that soft skills often are more valuable than tech skills was a huge wake up call.

Well it is kinda like that, if you have a software engineering job at a university lab haha. But even there there's usually heavy politics.

I have recently bought a Tuxedo Laptop because I was tired of "Windows rot", Microsoft invasive ads and surveillance; I'm happy with my choice but there are many annoying issues affecting Linux desktop experience especially multi-screen support and docking stations support.

I found this article useful to understand where these problems come from and made me appreciate the effort KDE / Gnome developers put in their projects.

Wireframe Magazine is an awesome resource for everybody experimenting or starting with game development.

When reality surpasses fiction, the whole document could have been a plot for a James Bond or Tom Clancy movie but unfortunately it is very real.

I was software engineer at Accenture for 4 years and you literally made the best description I have ever heard of the company. And I want to add, forget any career progression if you want to stick with software development.
