We cannot continue to live under the tyranny of sometimes wearing a mask.

Of wearing a mask in any and all public places, you mean? Because that's what was done, and the linguistic development of millions of children has been damaged as a result: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/masks-can-be-detr...

Would you mind providing a link that supports your conclusion.

Of note, the 'more death early and less death later' resulted in significantly more death overall. It wasn't a wash.

Yes- there is a life-year cost to bringing death forward.

But there has now been no excess mortality in Sweden compared to it's neighbors Finland and Norway (and all 3 blow the US and Europe out of the water.)

Interestingly the economies of the world seem to be fairing worse now that lockdowns have lifted and there are labor shortages in every area.

The effects of people dying and the unchecked spread of illness were ignored with calls of "you're killing the economy!".

Only if your premise that the labor shortages (and other economic issues) are caused by pandemic deaths is correct, mind you. The overwhelming majority of deaths (around 80%) from the pandemic in all countries was amongst retirement age individuals, most of whom are out of the workforce.

200,000 working age people in the US dying isn't nothing. It could also be explained by disabilities as a result of COVID and people unable to work as a result of that.

it could also be explained by All Cause Mortality being higher in vaccinated populations than unvaccinated (which, by the way, is the proper use of ACM when you compare two populations with a control).

Age adjusted or nah?

Turns out non-covid mortality is significantly higher in unvaccinated.

Especially when you consider that countries with stricter lockdowns had considerably lower excess deaths. People just want to be contrarian about this for whatever reason and throw everything they can think of against the wall.

This study is tracking post-acute onset of pericarditis and myocarditis and as such doesn't appear to cover cases where pericarditis or myocarditis happen during acute infection.

did they include a third control of not vaccinated and not covid positive? i.e. baseline incidence? 50% of cases are idiopathic pre-covid.

Ah, thanks! I missed that.

Were they having troubles accepting deposits?

No they were actually a decent bank. Offered 1.5% interest on CASA when others offered next to nil. They were the first bank in Australia to approve a home loan in 15 minutes, something which others could only dream of. But they needed more funding. Banking in Australia simply does not have enough competition and customers are extremely sticky.

What does ultra woke even mean? It seems like these threads are just an excuse for people to come and bitch about their personal pet peeves and blame whatever problems exist on it.

The obsession with identity politics, choosing actors based on their race, gender, and sexuality rather than talent, berating fans as bigots when they don't like the content, etc.

They distributed Cuties but it was fully produced before that. Greenlit implies they had a hand in funding the production.

"Cuties" still became their public face. I'd give individuals a pass for obliviousness, but not a media company that's in the business of public opinion.

In what sense did it become their public face? You ask anybody about Netflix and the odds are they're going to be referencing Stranger Things or a year ago Squid Game.

I imagine most people have forgotten about it

It was newsworthy for at least a few months. Stranger Things is probably their strongest association, though.

Fair point, but makes them no less culpable.

What conservative 'way of thinking' do people get kicked off of social media for?

I have no references for this but my guess would be related to the idea that there are two genders and those genders cannot/should not be changed. Most of the time when I see people ask your question they are trying to draw out something to do with racism, but that's really quite the strawman; very few conservatives are seeking the ability to use racial slurs under the guise of free speech.

I think what people are getting banned from social media for is scepticism of the concept of 'gender identity', particularly when it is used to override the material reality of sex.

It's not only a viewpoint held by many conservatives, but also basically all radical feminists, who are the polar opposite to conservatives in both general political stance and their reasoning behind rejecting the ideology of gender identity. From my observations, in practice it seems to be the radical feminists getting censored for this on social media much more than the conservatives.

You can believe both. The salesperson and dealer don't necessarily have the same desires.
