They…didn’t want to?

Comment was not even sarcasm or joke. Just pure trolling. No need to respond to something like that in 2025.

I don’t personally have a use for this, but I’m always happy to see Gleam articles appear. Such a wonderful little language.

I mean, it still doesn't make any sense. From what I can tell, OP never acquired the API keys needed to actually interact with the system. So he literally just made a demo app and asked permission to make it live. Instead of just saying "No" they tried to coerce him into slave labor.

I completely forgot it was written in Zig. Thanks for the heads up. I completely agree, I don't see how this can be labeled 1.0 release.

If they don't change the public API, they could rewrite it in Fortran for all I care.

Fortran would at least have a reliable compiler.

I see it as a commitment to keep the public API stable.

Corporate shill. He doesn't owe the company anything more than they are contractually obligated.

I recently did a small project in F# just to try it out. This was my exact experience. Syntacticly it seemed very nice and in some ways it was cool to have all the libraries I'm used to in C#, however due to the latter it ends up being possible to suddenly have `null` or other weird non-functional thingies suddenly pop up.
