I am an adoptive mother for 7 months already. I love my son very much and the fact that he carries somebody's else genes does not bother me at all. My son is from Thailand and I am Russian so we look very different. Still, not a problem The important thing here is that I take care of him and he accepts this care. (I do not have biological children and yes, parenting IS hard)

Based on the Excess Mortality across Countries in 2020, Sweden did surprisingly good, with only 1.5%. For comparison, the US was much worse with 12.5%. And Finland had -3.1% for some reason

Sure!

[1] shows the Excess Mortality across Countries in 2020, very convenient to compare.

In particular:

Canada: 6%

USA: 12.9%

South Korea, interestingly: -2.9%

Huh, that's interesting. How come your link claims the increase was 1.5% while mine claims it was 7.7%?

Good question, I am not sure. The numbers from my link do match the official numbers from Canada (link [2]) though.

So in Germany, the ratio is 845 voters per place. this seems to be quite high compared to North America.

For comparison, here are the numbers in Canada for 2019 [0]:

Registered electors: 27,300,000

Polling places: 20,000

Thus, the ratio is 1365 ppl per polling place.

This is only 60% of the ratio in Germany. I am from Canada and I don't think we have any problems with voer supression.

Is the state of public transit in NYC (subway) better than in SF? I had an impression it's horrible (everybody hates it) and it's a total money pit.

Many similar websites have suffered from a so-called "Medic" update. Some of them recovered (through fixing their website), some did not. The SEO community is full of such stories, for more than a year I think.

How is it news?

"How is it news?"

Recently piqued interest in antitrust actions for companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon.

Reading your comment made me think: Wow Germany must be like the US! Who knew!

But then I read the article and was super or even mega surprised to see that Switzerland, Sweden, France, and even Canada, they all overcome Germany based on this measure (Guns per 100 people). Something tells me that maybe you should not be concerned about the position your country has on that list ...

I was really surprised by Switzerland being the #2 on this list. Maybe it is indeed due to hunting habits the country has? I wonder how similar their gun thinking is to the US gun thinking.

Actually it’s because every Swiss male keeps their service rifle following service. However, it’s forbidden to keep ammunition.

I see! This is indeed very different from the US, more like an award I guess.

I wonder if he wanted to make money, it would make sense for him to try to move to the US? Not sure though how easy it would be to get a US license for a Canadian doctor.
