With IMAP there's no particular need for fetching from third party accounts. The article itself says that IMAP is supported in the app ("You can still read and send emails from your other account within the Gmail app. This uses a standard IMAP connection, which is supported in the Gmail mobile app"). But indeed this removes altogether the possibility to fetch from third-party accounts into Gmail.
Not sure what is disingenouous about it... The website is showing the current time encoded as colour, with some animation to make it look good. Its not a colour guessing game :)
For me the animation momentarily turns it into pink, then back to red. I don't really see the point because it just makes an entirely different color to what it's supposed to be showing.
> Since pure hue variations in RGB comprise less values than the total number of seconds in a day, colors are further modulated each second to show a distintive gamut of colors for every different moment in the day.
> Variations are based on phased sine functions that respond to each individual color, the fine modulation and luminosity.
But that's not an illegal move - interestingly, ICC (the body which regulates Cricket) has always recognized the move as official - specifically confirming it as such after the recent incident involving the women's teams of India & England.
NDTV did cover Ukraine quite frequently (atleast from what I saw from within the country).
