I have a couple of smaller personal projects that need transactional emails (mostly just notifications of things that have happened or weekly summaries, etc). Currently using Postmark but now they're going away from credits to monthly subscriptions. I don't send nearly enough emails to justify doing the monthly subscription, but I send more than the free tier allows (this is the case for most services). I'd probably be at the cusp of your free tier but I also have 3 domains. Currently I'm sending approximately 2k emails per month, if you had a hobby plan around $5/mo with unlimited domains and around 5k emails per month - I would sign up. Otherwise I'll probably just load up on Postmark credits and then eventually switch off to something else entirely down the road.

I have friends who work at HQ and others that were laid off during the myriad rounds they had a few years ago. It would be safe to say that their warm/fuzzy corporate culture has been completely changed with their current CEO Brian Cornell. It's a numbers game at this point. Not saying it's a bad thing when you're fighting for survival, but to say they value their employees well and that Amazon doesn't, isn't necessarily founded in reality. In fact many former Target employees I know have either gone on to start their own rep companies that work with or go to work directly for Amazon. Which should tell you something.

The expression "eating well" is ambiguous at best so I consulted a good dietician which made a big difference in my overall well being and health. Also, I work out every MWF, first thing in the morning - I find that if I don't do it first thing I'll come up with excuses throughout the day to skip. Another thing I do is make sure I get up and move around at least once an hour. I work from home and will take my dogs on a couple walks per day, I realize that's not an option for a lot of people.

Did you mean "Freemium"? And I think it's a very interesting idea.

I just finished doing a restoration on a Bally Party Zone pin, down to rebuilding ramps with a DIY vacuum form machine. These things went for a couple of hundred dollars 5-10 years ago. Now you're lucky to find a relatively ho-hum pin for under $1200 regardless of condition. Additionally they are notoriously difficult to transport safely and affordably, so you may find one you really want at a good price, but good luck since it's 1500 miles away from you.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in since I don't have a lot of pinhead friend who would appreciate the months of work I put into restoring this pin: home made ramps, all new solenoids, complete tear down, all LEDs, new posts, new bumper rubbers, cleaned the playfield. Now I have electronic gremlins to sort out - stupid horizontal DMD issues.

Maybe not courteous, but at least attentive. If you're driving a manual in stop and go, it's hard to be playing with a cellphone (not that it doesn't happen). You are being forced to spend some thought on the act of driving, which I think is a good thing.

Not really. An experienced manual driver can do it all with his/her eyes closed. It's just like the change from new driver to experienced driver.

One hand on the gear stick, one hand on the steering wheel, you shouldn't have a spare hand to use your phone. Or do you steer with your knees? :)

So you need to keep your hand on the stick while cruising on a long stretch of road or highway? That's where smartphone use becomes dangerous imo.

I just saw this at my state fair. I think I'll be getting one now:

They have these at my local Costco. Been thinking about it for a while, but I decided to just make my own with an old piece of fence.

I also have an Ecobee3. I had come from a 2nd gen Nest. I will agree with others and say that the remote sensors are really nice. I've always had multi floor houses whose temperature differentials (between up and down) would border on 10F. Obviously I could adjust the temperature on the Nest from bed, but I found toward the end of my ownership (middle/end '14) that the service would be down every now and then and I couldn't communicate with my Nest. I haven't experienced this with the Ecobee yet. Another positive you can quickly see the weather forecast from the thermostat, which is great for when you're about to leave the house and don't want to whip out your phone.

On the downside, the Ecobee doesn't "feel" as high quality. The touchscreen shows finger prints, it has a plasticy feel and you don't have that nice orange or blue background color indicating whether it's cooling or heating (not a big deal). It also doesn't have the schedule learning system, but to be honest I would usually adjust the temps manually throughout the day anyway. It also doesn't have the automatic fan function after the AC has run, sort of an afterrun fan which helped continue to cool the house without the AC on.

In the end I wanted to try something different and so far I think it's met/exceeded my expectations. Just hope you have a C wire when you install! :)

I would love to have f.lux on my un-jailbroken iPhone. Currently I use Twilight App on a Nexus by my nightstand during the night because of how harsh the iPhone screen is in the dark (even with brightness turned down all the way).

There's a similar, more flexible, open source app you can sideload via Xcode here: https://github.com/anthonya1999/GoodNight . I use it on my non-jailbroken iPhone and iPad. Does the trick for me (all orange, all the time).

you can side load it if you still have the code/binary. that's what I've done.

how it updates the screen with notifications is a little hacky though so I'm glad they are bringing a native implementation.

hopefully this comes to OS X as well.

On OS X you can just use f.lux.

How much is the developer license? I couldn't find it on your website. Thanks!

Looks great by the way!

This is a freebie, so you can use it for your personal projects or for clients projects for free, without paying for a license, it comes with Personal and Developer license by default.

There will be also a PRO version which will be more complex with more customizations options and the final user will have to pay something to get it.
