Thank you for writing this. I really hope common sense prevails soon. I have no idea how we got to the point where the "test" for a job has nothing to do with the job. I think senior engineers and tech leads need to actively work to kill this culture. I personally will never interview someone for my team by using some random questions from the internet that have nothing to do with what the candidate will work on. Again, great post
Even if people are for/against AMP, I think it does make sense to have AMP optional. For instance Google searches will often show the "Ad"-ified link at the top, but with the regular link somewhere below in the search results. Google could just as easily have the AMP and non AMP links in the search results if they aren't really the evil corp everyone thinks they are :)
Thanks a lot for the comment! Gotta do a better job of interpreting peoples responses and not necessarily immediately assume them to be negative. I also find some comments that are actually negative usually have something positive I can take away from it, so working on that "skill" as well :)
