I've been a web developer for over 20 years and have spent the last 7 years focused on building scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems. I've worked in a variety of industries including casino gaming, rehabilitation services, environmental science, social media, and clinical data management.
I've worked with monolithic and service-oriented architectures, and designed and implemented services that included REST APIs, gRPC, and events.
Even though I mostly do web stuff, I consider myself a generalist and am a life-long learner. I'm in the process of getting my AWS Developer certification.
I’ve worked in remote positions since 2020, both as a developer and as a team lead of a fully remote team, so I have experience with remote-first communication methods and best-practices.
