Xi Jinping: Does nothing, wins.

> On Oct. 18, 2025, Kincardine, Ont., native Kevin Larson was heading to a No Kings Rally in Port Huron, Mich., when he was pulled over for a “random check” at the U.S. border crossing.

Seems very stupid for a foreign national to go around participating in political rallies of another country. Sure, you can support No Kings like I do, or anyone else, but explicitly going out of your way and crossing the border to take part in a rally as a foreign agent is just asking for trouble. And it would land you in trouble almost immediately in any country in the world.

Why is it stupid? Freedom of assembly is not limited to US citizens.

Your phrase “foreign agent” seems to attempt to cast aspersions on this person just for exercising his rights.

Because traditionally countries do not like when citizens from other countries interfere with their affairs, just like when Canada did not like U.S. citizens being involved with the truckers protest a few years ago.

He’s not breaking the law.

Feels like being on the sidelines (or a Roman, if you're American) during Honorius' reign.

Germany and Austria gotchu fam, impoverishing their own people while choosing to buy overpriced Russian and American oil and gas.

I'll be seeing news about Hinckley Point C opening when I'm in my 80s.

Well the orange buffoon wanted it named either Strait of America or Strait of Trump. Not kidding.

Israel always was, at least for the last 2 decades. We all (including me) were just too blind and stupid to see through it.

If you want to form an opinion around Israel, I would've suggested, in better times, visiting the Red Crescent center in Doha accommodating and treating Gazan women and children.

Lots of people did see it, but politicians were way too tied up with Israel to allow even the slightest criticism. I hope that's finally going to change now, because Israel really needs to be reined in. (Iran too, the US too, and Russia too.)

Not to mention, they've even put their allies on shaky grounds now. I have Emirati friends, and all of them told me that they're hearing that none of their compatriots are happy with the war, as well as with the government's current posturing about allying with Israel, even though it was a 50/50 support for it when the Abraham Accords were signed. With full support for US actions, they've only strengthened the case for radicalization and dissident actions in their homeland.

Not to mention, the image of the GCC, particularly Dubai, as a stable oasis in the midst of a reckless desert, has been shattered. All the rich folk have already left (including some in my network), and companies are unilaterally laying off workers and shutting down.

There's also the issue of divisions within the GCC itself - there are many influential rulers who were caught completely unawares by US actions, and secretly voicing criticism against the federal authority's actions.

Dubai and the Emirates in general should have concerned themselves first with securing the freedom of navigation of the Persian Gulf, and then with building a playground for adults. But they didn't and expected someone else to do it for them.

That someone else still has military bases there, the expectation was until recently on a solid ground. I'm actually not sure that someone else disengaging from that region was the plan, but maybe it will be the result after all.

Why is it that in every thread of a newly released product, there's always some European popping by, just to say, "Oh, but the name doesn't sound appropriate in _my language_"? Suck it up Yurop, or make your own.

And imo, Mythos is a much better name than the kind of shit Mistral seems to come up with.

Heehee, I'm still laughing about the Audi e-tron ^^

> The AI lab left the material, including what appeared to be a draft blog post announcing a new model, in an unsecured, public data lake

My tinfoil theory is that it was left by them to be discovered by the public.

I believe a lot of 'leaks' you see these days are, at least some what, intentional.

Europe is currently lagging on the cloud front, the AI front and even the SaaS front. They can't even wean themselves off of MS Office ffs, after all the shenanigans Microsoft and the US have pulled against them. I have no hopes of the EU building anything that can replicate even 25% of Palantir.

They only have to replicate Palantir marketing and garnish it with a bit of nationalism. Not like the government is good at getting its money's worth in the end.

Trust me, they can't even do that.

And not forget hardware. All they have is meaningless leaders with zero vision. My dumb AI claw tool has better view of the world than they do. They might as well be replaced by those AI agents. Probably better outcome that current
