I hope you don’t really believe that’s a fair comparison.

Ink is ink and paper is paper. How hard could it be?

I accidentally bought a large inventory of toner during a sale, and it's really cost prohibitive for me to buy a new printer as a result.

My comments might be a joke, but they're about as rigorous as the claims in the DoJ complaint. They invent a "performance smartphone market" and then claim Google is a distant third to Samsung and Apple because of iMessage lock-in.

I strongly disagree with this view. We don’t even know if such material can exist, and the intersected odds of it 1) existing 2) naturally and 3) us stumbling into it in the short term are astronomically low.

Not saying space exploration is not important, but the reason you cite for it is about at the bottom of the list.

> Space exploration

> Astronomically low

Why, yes, my dear fellow. That’s the name of the game.

That's a rather creative expectation to form from that sentence.

I don’t see why that would be a stretch at all.

Because you appear to be using middle-east as a catch-all for any predominantly muslim area.

How so?

1) The stretch in the comment I replied to was referring to calling the area below the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul as belonging to Eurasia. I simply pointed out there is no stretch in there, since it does objectively belong to Eurasia, which unlike Middle-East is far of a more settled geographical definition.

2) In my other comment you are probably referring to, I simply pointed out that the definition of "Middle East" is not set in stone, and it might include the area in question. You can double check, if you don't believe me. I never came up with my own definition of it, and I definitely would not have tossed Indonesia in there.

The definition of “Middle East” is a rather flexible one, and can definitely include continentally European Turkey. It’s a political concept at least as much as a geographical one.

Turkey is almost the definition of Near East.

So you're saying that "fat people eat too much" is a statistically inaccurate statement?

I'm saying that someone can eat what is defined as "a healthy diet" and still gain weight.

Not if "too much" is relative to their physiology. How much is too much varies for each person.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immunosuppression

Non-deliberate immunosuppression can occur in, for example, ataxia–telangiectasia, complement deficiencies, many types of cancer, and certain chronic infections such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Children are susceptible to infection, and long term consequences are not clear.

everyone is susceptible to infections thats not what we are talking about. Most people cant afford babysitters for their kids, 80% of the workforce dont work behind a computer. What you guys seem to suggest will bankrupt most families.

I haven't suggested anything.

What did you mean when you said that "we already know children aren't being affected"?

Am I mistaken or there is no support for bookmarks / table of contents in the pdf reader? This makes reading a lot more difficult.

conflict of interest?
