hope this is useful for people

There's a grain of truth to this but I won't take any lessons on social mobility from the media.

In the UK, at least, most are privately educated, did unpaid internships and a lot are sons or daughters of other journalists.

I'd take entrepreneurship over getting a job in the media any day.

Thanks to everyone at HN who supported this project when I launched it in the summer of 2019. It was top of the website for a good 24hrs.

But time to move on to new things

Hope you enjoy B2B more! Hows Lorelight going so far?

Looks useful - thanks for making this. It's good you can add notes for blocking people too.

One of the biggest problems is the places where people speak Gaelic are now full of Airbnbs/second homes.

It's always the outsider who's to blame!

A blast from the past!

I read the book and did some actual barefoot running (got a lot of weird looks) and a lot of friends bought the shoes.

Now I think about it, I’ve not seen anyone in Vibrams for years

I see people in Vibrams and Vivos at the gym all the time. I wear nothing but minimalist shoes (since long before the hype, I was the barefoot kid where I grew up in the 80s/90s), so maybe I just notice it more?

Quite frequently people will come up to to me to ask me about my shoes, so there's definitely an interest.

Excellent article. I wish more old people would pick up weights. What often keeps me going to the gym is the knowledge I want to be strong when I'm old.

Nicely done! I'll add this to my newsletter - I wouldn't be surprised if you got some press for this.

That's a fookin crazy exit!

Always like seeing these stories. Will mention it in my High Signal newsletter.
