maybe Roblox? could be a way to implement the game your son conceived and could also be a gateway to more programming in the future

Thanks for this! I just finished the tutorial and really enjoyed it! Found myself hoping for more. Maybe a small series that would teach one the necessary basics of Clojure so one could actually do a real project in it afterwards. That would be awesome :)

Read Clojure Distilled and try to complete all the Clojure Koans.

agreed!!!

Lenovo ThinkPad

Which model?

T430

Did you buy it used? If so, where?

sounds like something that could potentially be built on top of Ethereum smart contracts (not sure if it should though ...)

this made me laugh!

repl.it not a local environment, but if you're after the shortest path to learners being able to code, that's how I do it with the people I teach. Works well.

Yeah that's why I specified "local" - personally I'm keen on https://mybinder.org/ and https://colab.research.google.com/ and https://www.glitch.com/ as remote options.

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie is very good. The title is absolutely terrible, but the content is as good as the title is terrible (in my opinion at least)

"Fighting the Plague in Seventeenth Century Italy" by Carlo Cipolla

fixed it. Thank you again, that somehow slipped by me ...
